Size Matters

I work in an inner city Level I Trauma 400+ bed teaching hospital. We serve a largely indigent population who receive the bulk of their medical care from the hospital emergency room. Compliance with medications is not common; obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and renal insufficiency are common. So are alcohol and illicit drug consumption.
